Eastern Township Board Meeting
September 11, 2023
The Eastern Township Board of Supervisors met on Monday, September 11, 2023. The meeting was
called to order at 7:00 pm by Board Chairman Michael Lage. Those present were Supervisors Michael
Lage and Jason Moller, Amanda Dobratz Clerk Sue Ellwanger, Treasurer Dana Guse, Tim Bowman –
Bowman G & G and Alan Nelson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Jason Moller made a motion to approve the agenda with flexibility. Amanda Dobratz seconded the
motion. All voted in favor of the motion. The motion was approved.
The clerk read the minutes of the August 2023 monthly meeting. Jason Moller made a motion to approve
the minutes as read. Amanda Dobratz seconded the motion. All voted in favor of the motion.
Dana Guse, Treasurer gave the treasurers report. The checking account balance on August 31,2023 is
$ 199,835.80 The CD’s had a balance of $148,819.07. On August 31,2023 the township balance in the
bank was $348,654.87. Jason Moller made a motion to accept the treasurers’ report as presented.
Amanda Dobratz seconded the motion. All voted in favor of the motion. The motion was approved.
Amanda Dobratz made a motion to pay bills. Jason Moller seconded the motion. All voted in favor of the
motion. The motion was approved.

Monthly Road Maintenance
Tim from Bowman G & G gave the monthly road maintenance report. 1 round of blading the township
roads was done. Hauled and applied 767 yards of gravel on township roads. Work from July, blading was
done on the roads prior to where calcium chloride was put down.
Parkers Prairie Community Ambulance
Mike Lage gave the report from the Parkers Prairie Community Ambulance Board. The entire report is on
file with the clerk. Mike also attended a Community Ambulance meeting in Fergus Falls. There will
another County EMS meeting to discuss the new way County Ambulance Services will be funded. The
plan is the funding for the ambulance services will be on the property taxes and go straight to Ottertail
County, the county will disburse the money directly to the county ambulance services. Implementation is
more than a year away.
Old/Continuing Business
Improvements to the Outhouses
Mike Lage will be in contact with Leon Wunderlich to see if he would want to do the project in the future.
Nothing more will be done on this project in 2023.
New Business
East Ottertail County Township Association Fall Meeting
Tuesday, October 24th, 6:30 pm at the Deer Creek Community Center/Aspen Drive
Tim mentioned that all of Aspen Drive has been graveled. Does more need to be applied. The consensus
of the supervisors that no more gravel needs to be applied.
There being no further business to be brought before the board, Jason Moller made a motion to adjourn
the meeting. No second is needed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
The October 2023 meeting of the Eastern Township Board will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023. The
meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Eastern Town Hall
